This year’s annual conference of the European Police Research Institutes Collaboration (EPIC) will take place in Cardiff, Wales. As an early member of EPIC, the Universities’ Police Science Institute (UPSI) extends a warm invitation to all members to join them (at last!) in the vibrant capital city of one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
The conference will open with a keynote address by Professor Martin Innes, Director of UPSI and the new, multi-disciplinary Crime and Security Institute at Cardiff. Other plenary speakers are to be confirmed but will be chosen to reflect the novel approach to security research being conducted at Cardiff. Running over a day and a half, the conference will also provide ample time for the EPIC working groups to meet and feedback progress in their given subject areas, as well as the important informal networking opportunity EPIC provides its members.
Two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation will be provided at the Cardiff University Conference Centre on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th June, together with the Conference Dinner on Thursday 30th June and (a rather special!) lunch for those who do not have to rush off after the conference formally closes on Friday 1st July.
Travel to, from and within Cardiff is at delegates’ own expense, as is all subsistence other than that included as above. Whilst we are unable to make any travel or restaurant bookings for delegates we will be happy to provide advice and recommendations.
