ESRC Seminar: Moral Panics & The State

The third in a series of seminars around the theme of Moral Panics and funded by the ESRC will take place on November 22nd at Cardiff University’s School of Social Sciences. The title of the seminar is ‘Moral Panics and the State’ and is being led by Professors Mark Drakeford and Viv Cree and Dr Mark Smith.

Keynote speakers include Professor Martin Innes, Director of the Universities Police Science Institute and Deputy Director of Research in the School of Social Sciences; Professor Jan Fook, formerly of Faculty of Health Professions at Dalhousie University, Canada, now based at Kingston University and St George’s University of London and Professor Ray Jones, formerly Social services director and chief executive of Social Care Institute for Excellence, now Professor of Social Work at Kingston University and St George’s University of London
