Dyfed Powys Police hosted a Police and Rural Crime Summit that brought together over seventy people from various organisations, community groups and from farming and academic backgrounds to discuss working together to improve the service provided by the Police to our rural communities. Delegates included Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Christopher Salmon and Chief Constable Simon Prince.
The aim of the Police and Rural Crime Summit was to gather information, knowledge and expertise to enable the force to better understand the needs and wants of its rural communities in Dyfed Powys.
Sarah Tucker, Research Associate at UPSI [Pictured Centre] spoke on how evidence-based policing can be used to tackle crime in rural areas.
